The hiking trail on the Ngong Hills starts from Ngong Town at the northern foot of the hills which is 1961 meters above sea level while traversing the top edge of the range to the southern end at Kona Baridi.
This takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete, depending on fitness levels.
These include the puff adder, the black mamba, Egyptian Cobra, African rock python and Gaboon viper (with 4-cm long fangs, the longest in the world).
